Relocating and conquering Mountains

I had been a fairly good student ever since my childhood. My parents felt that I was gifted and intelligent. I never had to struggle to complete my syllabus or pass my exams. I was a happy go lucky person who took life as it came. This way I could enjoy the sports and music classes that I loved the most. Dramatics period set my aspirations soaring as I would practice my lines on the stage. Life was going as usual when my father got the news that he had been transferred to a new city. To tell the truth I had mixed feelings associated with this news. I had been studying in a Hindi Medium school and there in the new city admission was available in an English medium school. It was a very big and important decision for me. I realized that this can be a make or break decision for me. For my father it was the choice to choose a job responsibility in a bigger role in a bigger city. On the other hand he had my future in mind. I had a lengthy discussion with him and then we arrived at the decision that at some point in my life I would have to make the move to switch streams or switch to English medium. Then why not now? He felt that studying in a new city and bigger school would widen my perspective and horizon. So I agreed to move to the new city ,relocate and #StartANewLife.
Initially everything seemed quite new and unfamiliar. My father and mother got accustomed to the new city . I found the new school and academic environment challenging to begin with. Then I began to make new friends and my class teacher started mentoring me and guiding me in adjusting to the new environment. I started studying with a new found focus that I had lacked until this point in life. As I was a year away from my board exams this new found focus and vigor came at a very opportune time. For every student the board exams are like the final of a big tournament. For me I was beginning to peak and find form right before the final of a big game of life. This was a big positive for me that helped me accomplish a task that seemed almost impossible to do. The risk of moving to a new city and the opportunity to #StartANewLife had paid off. So the next year when I gave the board exams I had no difficulty in attempting the papers in the English medium. When the results came I passed with very good marks and got the subjects of my choice. Looking back I feel had I not only conquered a big mountain and overcome all the obstacles but learned the skill to negotiate all the challenges that would come in my life ahead.
 #StartANewLife.
